Helar
Well I'm not sure if this goes here but I was wondering if there is a way to unlock the remaining four boss characters. Athena, the demon, Shin Takuma and Shin Akuma. I was playing this game at an actual arcade and they were unlocked.
Agozer
You have a few options: 1) Search the board for Kawaks/Nebula cheats.2) Get the Universe BIOS and enable the bosses from there.3) Go to http://www.geocities.com/svc_fixes/ and download the patch kit. Then, patch the p1 rom with the hidden characters patch.
Daeval
There's a version of plus that has them unlocked already. If that's not the one you have, there are a set of tools somewhere (I dunno where to get them anymore) that will unlock them on your rom with a little work. Update: Doh, the mighty Agozer ran an interception on my post. Edited December 3, 2004 by Daeval

KyokugenKiss
yes, SVC PLUS VER. is AWESOME, all characters upfront, you just need the right p1, id give you the crc to look for because i had issues doing 1 move on a otherwise perfect rom but has since had it fixxed but im at work now PS I LOVE KAWAKS 1.45!!! darkmage479
Whoa... lets back up a minute. I've always been confused about the different SVC chaos dumps. Mine, which is called svcc.zip, uses the following ASR: System: NEORomName: svccGame: SVC Chaos: SNK Vs. Capcom[Program]269-p1.rom,0,600000,14337168,0 [Text]269-s1.rom,0,20000,BC670454,0 [Z80]269-m1.rom,0,20000,4E81642E,0 [samples]269-v1.rom,0,400000,E7203930,0269-v2.rom,400000,400000,675159C3,0269-v3.rom,800000,400000,F8810665,0269-v4.rom,C00000,400000,B57B4EA3,0 [Graphics]269-c1.rom,0,800000,465D473B,0269-c2.rom,1,800000,3EB28F78,0269-c3.rom,1000000,800000,F4D4AB2B,0269-c4.rom,1000001,800000,A69D523A,0269-c5.rom,2000000,800000,BA2A7892,0269-c6.rom,2000001,800000,37371CA1,0269-c7.rom,3000000,800000,56AC5FB9,0269-c8.rom,3000001,800000,DE99E613,0 [system]CartridgeID: 269GfxCrypt: 0GfxKey: 0ButLayout: 9Fix: 0 This, when played in Arcade Mode (using Kawaks 1.46) shows the eight midbosses as selectable windows. In Console mode, the bosses are not there but they and Shin Akuma/Serious Mr. Karate are available through button codes. Which version is this? I assume that whatever it may be, the final bosses (Athena, Red Arremer) are available only though screwing with the dips/using cheats. Any ideas? Agozer
It's the non-plus version, but whther or not that he real MVS version or an alternate bootleg set, I'm not sure. Does Zero's Triple Rod work-on-the-fly? EDIT: I did some checking and it seems that SVCC is the Boss Edition; basically the Plus without the Plus James can correct me if I'm wrong. James
The one he would of played was a bootleg hack There are two versions svcplus (not all bosses enabled)svcsplus (has all bosses enabled) Edited December 4, 2004 by James
darkmage479
My copy does not say "plus" at startup but Zero's rod attack (f, d, df + K) works fine. So this is just a standard bootleg, eh? I assume that means it was dumped from a PCB?

darkmage479
So what are the CRC's for the essential roms of the non-bootleg, actual MVS dump?
