i l l m a t i c
Intel once said desktop buyers wouldn't really need 64-bit capabilities until toward the end of the decade, but the company will make such capabilities a feature across its desktop lines next year. The Santa Clara, Calif.-based chipmaker disclosed at its analyst meeting in New York that it will include 64-bit functionality on its desktop chips starting in 2005, a schedule that roughly coincides with the release of a 64-bit version of Windows for desktops coming next year. The functionality will appear even in the budget Celeron linehttp://news.com.com/Intel+to+put+64+bits+i...ml?tag=nefd.top Goodbye 32bit and Hello 64bits Edited December 8, 2004 by Xx1LLMAT1CxX

Ryuken
still isn't time for 64 bits yet since not that many 64bit stuff are out to take advantage of 64 bit proceessors
Gryph
Windowx XP 64-bit should be coming out very soon. There are some programs that take advantage of 64 bit stuff but it's mostly some Linux distros (and I don't think they work incredibly better) and advanced media making programs. You friking intel junkies are stuck with office processing CPUs not fit for gaming. </anti-intel moment> Win 64 runs very good from a build I got a few months ago, most of it's 32bit wasn't coded into it though.
