ive seen some screen for both ds & psp and psp is totally better than the ds in terms of graphical power, case in point with the ridge racer game, ive seen screens of madden on the ds, they were horrendous like gba 3d.. psp = ps1.5

I'd go for the DS, and it's somewhat saddening that you're choosing the PSP for it's Graphic quality... I, for one, play my handheld absolutely everywhere. 6 hours is not enough for me. How long is school? Nearly 8 hours, why would I attempt to play a 6 hour system for 8 hours? And 6 is the max, not the standard. And Mr. Diller was almost a launch title (it's out now), so there's a good game on the DS.

 

Granted that, I'm getting both anyway. I'm about as unfanboyish as one can get.

No it doesn't. Both Ridge Racer Type 4 and Ridge Racer V are very good and I have not regrette buying either of them.
