Wizard Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 We need more artists who lash back against record companies, like Radiohead and Disturbed.
NeuronMaster Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I'm safe, I dont download DVD's or movies for that matter.
Sturmvogel Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I just started using bittorent....just for anime. As long as Animesuki and the like stay up, I'm happy. And I'd rather buy my movies. I wonder what they'll go after next, IRC? It would alot of manpower to even begin a crackdown on it..
Wizard Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Actually, they've tried IRC, they can't do sheit to it.
Sultan Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Never fear bittorrent users! The main bittorrent site (you know the one) is developing a replacement for bittorrent that will keep the swarming technology that makes it so great, but removes the need for a website listing the trackers. In effect, each user becomes the tracker. I think the new program is called exeem or something like that. Also, I've stopped using the websites for bittorrent. The nice thing about torrent files is that they are so small that people share them on other p2p programs. So I just use a different program to search for torrents then use ABC to get my stuff. try it while you wait for exeem
Ryuken Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 if each user becomes a tracker, then that would sux, cuz then they'll be on our ass too
Sultan Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 maybe. or maybe it will be harder to track. there was an article on slashdot a yesterday talking about how frustrating bitorrent is for the mpaa, because there really isn't a central person for them to assault. I have to admit I don't know much about how bittorrent actually works.
Agozer Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Actually, they've tried IRC, they can't do sheit to it.How ironic from their part.
Dooz Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 When will my country learn that there will never be an end to pirating. Much like terrorism.
