powuh_of_PIE Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 For some reason, whenever I play my Paper Mario ROM it is almost always flickering! GoodN64 says it's compatible though. I wonder if maybe i need some plugins to help it run better? Could anyone help me with this problem?
Ghosty Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Try Using "1964" And "Rice's Video Plugin 5.50"
Agozer Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 (edited) Project64 Has "Flickering" Problems.I tried it before (I think) and didn't get flickering... Need to try it again. EDIT: You're right, it does flicker. 1964 it is then. It didn't flicker in that at least. Edited December 20, 2004 by Agozer
Ghosty Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Ya, I Hate To Admit It Cuz I've Been Using Project64 For So Long,.. But 1964 Has A Better Compadiblity Level Than Project64. *Sniff* *Sniff*
Agozer Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Well, as they say, Nintendo64 emulation is far from perfect.
wacko_jacko Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 I'm pretty sure there is a work around to that problem. Try searching the forums at the Project64 homepage.
powuh_of_PIE Posted December 21, 2004 Author Posted December 21, 2004 Thanx guyz, I'm switching to 1964 for anything that doesn't work on Project64. Kinda sux tho, I had no idea PJ64 was so substandard when I downloaded it. O well...

Kinda sux tho, I had no idea PJ64 was so substandard when I downloaded it. O well...I really wouldn't call Project64 "substandard" as it is the most compatible N64 emulator around. Sadly, like I said before, N64 emulation under any emulator is far from complete/perfect.
emsley Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Yeah its a pitty, project 64 should go back at it, did they pull the plug on the project anyway? Fools they are.
