jeffkong Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 Recently I decided to restore my computer, with my wireless adapter, to the way it was when I first bought it. It has Windows ME on it. after it was restored, my wireless adapter stopped working. The lights on it that usually glow green stopped, and it just doesn't work. It's plugged into the same place it's always been when it worked my Xbox adapter works perfectly what do I do to fix this?
Ghosty Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 (edited) Try Updating The Drivers. Edited December 24, 2004 by 666Ghost
Agozer Posted December 25, 2004 Posted December 25, 2004 Changing the drivers won't help if the lights aren't on to begin with , you know... As for jeffkong's actual problem, I have no clue.
Ryuken Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 all i can say is window me sux, but did u try to use another usb port??
alexis Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 try installing these drivers http://kbserver.netgear.com/support_details.asp?dnldID=603 this card is USB 2.0 so check that the USB card is also configured correctly, USB 2.0 devices will not work with USB 1.1 ports, however, maybe the drivers or windoes, set your current USB to 1.1, just try installing the drivers first and let me know
jeffkong Posted December 29, 2004 Author Posted December 29, 2004 I'll try doing this I have a busy week so I probably won't report how it turns out until the weekend.
jeffkong Posted January 3, 2005 Author Posted January 3, 2005 Nothing works I think the adapter is broken, and will buy another one.
