Jjangthekid
Hey all, once again I need an advice on which ethernet card to buy. You know its the card that has the big jack hole thats similar to the usb hole but bigger? Which one do you recommend? and is there specific ones that I have to buy with my pC? Agozer
The hole you are referring to is most likely the RJ-45 Ethernet socket. All ethernetcards have those nowadays.
Jjangthekid
RJ-45 Ethernet socket eh? Its just to connect my router to my pc... the RJ-45 socket could be used for that purpose right?
Madi
in short , yes that would work , router to network (ethernet) card i use it to ftp to my xbox all the time
Gryph
Actually, it doesn't really matter what Ethernet card you buy. Just make sure it's a 10/100 mbit card and you should be fine.
alexis
yeah get one of those, all the cards have the RJ45 UTP cable which is the standard cable for networking purposes, it is similar to the phone jack but this one is a little bigger, you can buy either a 10/100 card or a gigabit one10/100/1000 but this is almost useless form home use

esoteric
altho you CAN get any kind and it will be decent, i suggest the netgear FA311 (for the fact that i like it and it helps for gamecube streaming)
