Hi everyone, I never post here. Anyway.

I tried running Parasite Eve a bit ago, but it was slow as hell. What reasons could there be for it being so goddamn slow? Could it be the CD-Drive? It's a pretty old drive, doesn't even write CDs (might not even read them :o), so I thought that might be contributing, but I don't know for sure, that's why I came here.

What Emu Are You Using? And If Your Card Is +64MB And You Use Direct3D It Should Be Going Fine.

Card = Video card

Direct3D = a way graphics are displayed on your screen

What plugins are you using?

Post your system specs here please.

Try Pete's OGL2 Plugin + Eternal SPU Audio plugin.

But then again, if the game is still slow, get a null audio plugin (= no sound) and try again.

My advice is not to use Software GPU plugin's since they are slower, although some games look better with that.

Alright... I have an Athlon XP 2600+ for the mobo. And a Radeon 9600 for the GCard. And I am using Pete's something something D3D driver. So Direct3D is being used, yes. I'll try again later, no time now. New Years drunk now.

And, it worked fine. It turns out there ARE some issues with not reading the disk gone/fast enough. But the slowness is gone. Thanks for the help! (even though you didn't change anything :()
