supa_al Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 (edited) I got Networks Associates VirusScan. When it detects something, it will delete it, or quaretine it, sending to a folder named Quarentine. Does anybody know how to delete the contents of the stuff in it, basically the do's n don'ts? Gryph Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 In Norton AntiVirus, in the quarantined files list you can right click on the file and choose delete. Don't know if McAfee has the same deal...
supa_al Posted January 3, 2005 Author Posted January 3, 2005 (edited) Ok, well il see if that will work. ..........Interestingly enough, i have not found a way to do so. wah. Edited January 3, 2005 by supa_al
Robert Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 I have that virus scanner. I find it effective against adwareand exe files that websites try to stick in your computer. You probably found that when you try to empty theQuarantine folder, that the virus scanner stepped inand prevented it. There are two ways to do it 1. Hold down shift while deleting it. This will delete itinstead of going to the recycle bin. OR 2. Do it in safe mode
supa_al Posted January 3, 2005 Author Posted January 3, 2005 Excellent, that worked. Thanks robbbert. Yeah, this virus scanner is very effective. It never fails to amaze. Its insane how much crap could load on to your computer.
Darken Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 I think you can also use the safe mode and just delet the file
