Wizard Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Woot, at least I don't have to spend money on my raid array now!
solidius23 Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 i have a terebyte of storage total between all my drives and its mostly filled with junk i really need to do some housekeeping, dont invest in that much storage unless u have valuble stuff that u acess often other wise u will turn into a software pack rat like me lol.
supa_al Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 I have to agree with solidius23. I only have a bout 300 gigs of storage, 1 internal hard drive/2 external, But only about 60 gigs of it is work that i have done(drawings, projects,hw) The rest of it is full of crap(good stuff kids go for) A terabyte of storage is cool, but use it wisely. (What do humans always want, more power)
Wizard Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 (What do humans always want, more power)<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yes. I for one, has always wanted 1 TB of HDD space. My comp on it's own has 180 GB (removed raid because they suddenly stopped working!). I say with all the comps I got, I got at least 1 tb, just in different places.
Ghosty Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Well The Problem With Those HDD--IMO--It'll HAve To Be your Slave, And I Heard That People With Slave HDD's Dont Format Them That Offten, Like My Current 111GB, Now I Cant Open A Video File Without Crashing The Prog.
Robert Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Will the BIOS be able to handle these new drives?
Gryph Posted January 7, 2005 Author Posted January 7, 2005 I think new BIOSes support all drives bigger than 137 gb. I don't think there is an upper limit anymore.
