Gryph Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Oldboy is a good movie. It's a Korean movie that won the second highest award at Cannes last year.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>The funny thing is that Oldboy just got in threaters over here. I better go see it.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>The funny thing is that it never came to theatres around me. I had to obtain it through other methods.
L.S.D Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 I just rewatch a clip from Shaolin Soccer It is the extra scene at the bun store. Hilarious

Wow, that something I didn't expect to hear from someone who lives in the USA.
Gryph Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 I live in a crappy town where only the big blockbusters come. I have to travel a long way to see foreign movies.

And I've seen a few "Beat" Takeshi movies.. very good stuff. Battle Royale also (he's in that one too). Never seen part 2 though. Edited January 19, 2005 by Daeval

Gryph Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 The only Hong Kong movies I've seen are the John Woo ones and maybe one or two Tsui Hark movies. The Killer, Hard Boiled, and A Better Tomorrow are some of my favorite action movies.
