BrOkEn ArRoW_29 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 OK, here's the deal i recently ran a thing called a system recovery now i have my new account set up on XP and my old folder that contains everything I had is locked because I made the folder private under that sharing tab. I would like to know how to unlock this folder to get all my stuff back. Any input on what to do would be a lot of help. Thanks.
Ghosty Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 If Your The Admin Try This: Go To "C:\Documents and Settings"Right Click The Old FolderProerties-Sharing-UnCheck The "Make This Folder Private" If THat Doesnt Work, Go To The Old Acount And Do It Then.
BrOkEn ArRoW_29 Posted January 21, 2005 Author Posted January 21, 2005 I have tryed unchecking the folder but it's not able to checked and my account isn't there anymore but everything is still in there so i have to find a way around it.
Ghosty Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Have You Tried Making That Old HDD As A Slave, And Putting It In Another Comp?
BrOkEn ArRoW_29 Posted January 21, 2005 Author Posted January 21, 2005 It's not old or anything it's my main hard drive but i was getting some serious problems with it so i decided to run this system recovery thing and i've done it before but i've never had folder locked so i was just wanna know if there are programs or stuff that fix this problem.
