tojol Posted January 24, 2005 Share Posted January 24, 2005 I am trying to build a pure dos mame with dmame 89, i have a sound problem (unable to initialize sound) and the emulator do not start. this is my autoexec.bat @ECHO OFFkeyb sp,,C:\keyboard.sysSET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 P330c:\dos\sndinit.exe/INITc:\dos\sndtsr.exeset path=c:\sneskey;c:\doscd\arcadeosgo i was using advamame with out problems seting device_sound auto in advmame.rc, in dmame this option do not exist and i have trying with all options 1,3...7 and the same error... do i have to modify any parameter in make file before compile or something like that? if any of have a configuration like this may be can help me. I have a compiled dos mame executable file that shows the next list 0. eternal silence1. sound blaster2. chipste integrated ac973. chipste integrated ac97 (pure dos)4. Ultramax sound5. Ultra sound6. Windows sound sistem7. Ensoniq sound scape8. Ess audio drive9. Sound blaster pro all versions of dos mame that i have compiled shows this list 0. Silence1. Sound blaster3. Pro audio expectrum4. Ultramax sound5. Ultra sound6. Windows sound sistem7. Ensoniq sound scape As you can see the last list have not the option 3 (chip set integrated ac 97) do you know which is the dos mame version that shows the frist list? or there are a way to get that list for all versions? sync40 Posted January 31, 2005 Share Posted January 31, 2005 Are you trying to develop a multigame arcade system? That is, Arcadeos, SnesKey, and AdvMame? I did had the same problem time ago, but with some other motherboards with ac97 integrated it is still happened to me. By the way, what is the mame version and what executable that you did used first? That is, the version that shows to you most options in the sound listing?
