Just when you had thought that Google had dipped its toes into just about everything, they go and surprise us once again.  CNET reports that Google is working on search technology to allow users to dig through TV archives to find video footage:

 

Google's effort, until now secret, is arguably the most ambitious of the three. According to sources familiar with the plan, the search giant is courting broadcasters and cable networks with a new technology that would do for television what it has already done for the Internet: sort through and reveal needles of video clips from within the haystack archives of major network TV shows.

 

This seems pretty cool. I know that altavista has a small feature compared to this.

Cool, damn, I would love to go back and find all the TOONAMI on cartoon network I can get my hands on, that or all of Geforces tuturials on basic gameplay!
