hard drive suggestions.

Hey , I'm looking for an external hard drive. Could any of you guys recommend me some? I dont know which companies are good and what not. One more thing, is it better to get external or internal? thanks.

I Think Extrenal Is Good, Cuz Of The Heat Isnt Inside The Comp, And Just Get An Internal And Get A Extrenal Box Thingy.

yeah get an external box, then if you wanna get a bigger drive later you can swap it out. external drives are more expensive then internal drives. so you'd preooly come out spending less on an internal and the external box.

External is cool because you can take your info on the go. But like garageink said, you can get an external box if you would like to upgrade later.

An external hd box is a storage case where the hd lies in. Basically, a case for a hd.

yeah you would get an INTERANAL drive and an EXTERNAL box, the box converts a internal drive to an external one, usually with firewire or usb to connect to the pc. as for brands I have maxtors and seagates, never had any problems with them.
