Robert
I've set up yet another emulator, this one is Final Burn v0.518. The simplest and easiest mame-type emu yet! Graphics run very fast, sound usually ok but occasional echo on some games. Can export the rom-list to clrmamepro or romcenter standard. No auditing facility. No indication of what works until you try it. Although the instructions say that the roms folder must be directly below the exe, you can change this in the cfg\finalburn.iniThis let me use my mame roms as input. Does anyone have any words of advice concerning Final Burn? What is the difference (if any) between Final Burn and Final Burn Alpha?
Agozer
I think you should stick to Final Burn Alpha. FB is horribly outdated.
Robert
Is FBA just a newer FB, or a derivative? What is the current version of FBA?
Agozer
Is FBA just a newer FB, or a derivative? What is the current version of FBA?FBA is based on Final Burn. FBA kept the original Final Burn look for the longest time, but then changed drastically (only worked with DirectX7 + truckloads of other tweaks and changes). I think the latest version is v0.2.95.23. Edited January 30, 2005 by Agozer
Gryph
FBA is a really cool emulator. A great resource for that site is NeoSource which is hosted by 1Emu. Just go to the Portal and you'll see a link to it there. Actually, here's the link: http://neosource.1emulation.com There are DAT files for most of the new games to add. Unfortunately, even after I add the dats and all the stuff in, none of the new games show up. I've modified all the dats to my sets but it still doesn't work. I'll have to ask for help on IQ's forum. It's a bit odd thou that you haven't been able to get those games showing... (you have changed the CRcs and filenames, haven't you?)
