Ad-Aware and Spybot not so reliable after all

Something I hate is my sister lacks of computer knowledge. I hate the fact, when a pop-up appears, she click OK or Cancel, instead of the REAL X to close it, and when I scold her, she just give an "accidentially" reply. BTW, is Opera better than Fire Fox?

Preference really. I've used Opera before, used it for a week, then went back to I.E. Although some parts of it have been incorperated into FF, FF suits more because it is a popular alternative overall. But once sheit happens to it. Back to opera i go.

I have Mozilla Firefox installed but do not use it. IE6 is better for me..Firefox features are crap compaired.

That's interesting, but it doesn't say what he infected the computers with.  If he tested with a bunch of obscure crap that no one with a brain actually gets, then his numbers don't really apply to practical real life situations.

Well, that's one thing, but more specifically those who don't click on every email attachment, or open every.exe that a porn or warez site pops up on their browser, etc. I suppose I should have specified "real life situations for most of us."

Ah, much better. I'm just glad that my mom isn't that interested in computers, although I always keep watch while she does something on this machine.

 

*Most* of my friends are educated enough not to click on those popups and scripts and whatnot.

Speed? My Fire Fox is slower than my Internet Explorer (spelt it out to gain more credits ).

And some sites are just for Internet Explorer, so using Fire Fox makes it a little harder.

I've never heard of speed being an issue with firefox, but gryph had a few tweaks before that should make it blazing fast. And there are scarce few sites that firefox can't handle these days (mostly those with Active X), but there's a handy extension that makes it as easy as it could possibly be when you do cross one.

I'm quite stunned by your stetement... crap features? What exactly?

IE6 isn't all that bad if you know how to tweak it to the max for maximum effeicentcy. The only few reasons I still use FF is because I've already tweaked it to all these different settings which i can't do in IE6 because I lack harddrive space.
