I have a ROM directory (.84) old build I guess

 

and I want to print a list of roms

 

say SFA3

should read Street Fighter ALPHA 3

 

so I dont want list of rom names but of the game names of the roms I have

 

Anyone know

I'm not entirely sure, but you might start experiment with something like CLRMame, or maybe seeing if you can print-screen from your "have" list.

Well, if you want my two cents, I think there is a commandline switch in the Win32 version of MAME that lists all available romsets and their full names... Or you could take a arcade rom auditing tool and print a list from there, I'm sure that's possible.

he can type in

 

MAME -listfull |sort > list.txt

 

that should in theory produce a text file with the games sorted by the zipfile name
