Robert Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 I'm trying to get Zinc running. The graphics are totally corrupted on every game, but the FPS counter is fine. Any ideas? Next, I used ZincGui, and it says all the roms are missing, but if I start the game it runs - just bad graphics (as above).
Gryph Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Are you using OpenGL or DirectX? You have to have updated drivers and DirectX and that whole kit and caboodle.
Agozer Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Do you have MAME sets? I'd suggest going with OpenGL first.

Robert Posted February 16, 2005 Author Posted February 16, 2005 Mame sets - yesDirect-x 8.0 is in the machineOpen GL - how do I check this? How do I take a screenshot?
Gryph Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 OpenGL should already be in Windows. However, check your graphics card manufacturer's site to see if there is an update. Also, get DX9.0c. Screenshot can be taken with PrintScreen. Paste that into Paint and save as.jpg or.png. Upload with www.imageshack.us or www.photobucket.com
Robert Posted February 16, 2005 Author Posted February 16, 2005 I decided to run it via the network on this pc which has win2kpro, direct-x 9.0c, and opengl. Zinc ran horribly slow, and the graphics were even worse! Here is a sample:
Robert Posted February 16, 2005 Author Posted February 16, 2005 This pc has Intel 810 Graphics Hub (its onboard). mame works ok. The other pc has a Trident 3D Image 9750 everything else has good graphics
Agozer Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Just a thought: I don't know if it helps much but could you post a screenshot of ZiNc's long since it shows what error you have with the romset.
