Because it saves it as an UNCOMPRESSED AVI File. If you want it smaller, you'd need to re-encode it with TMPEG or use an external coder to a video codec of your choice (DIVX, XVID, TEORA).

Those guys who made Ogg Voribis are doing it. Based on OGM. Other then being a contener (like OGM) it's developing into it's own codec(complete with contener stuff that ogm did! OGM was a just a hack of stuff though!).

I got the bin--source for it. So yes! I also have no clue how to use it! (other then compiling it)

Hey K'dash your the man, the TMPEG compiler works like a charm, doesnt waste much time on compiling, and the file went from 100 mb to 3.5!

TMPEG and/or VirtualDub have everything you could ever need from a video editing software. No system should be without them.
