tornjaw
Hello, I'm new here and new to burning Sega CD ISOs as well. But I was able to burn a couple of games successfully with no problems. However, on certain games that I attempt to burn I have been getting an error that says this: Unsupported file format in C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\sonic cd-sound\scd.cue, line 4 and then, this: Unrecognised file format for recording! Please insert a recognised image file for recording! Type: Cue-sheets Image filePath: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\sonic cd-sound\Name: scd.cue Sonic CD.iso 02 - Music.mp3 03 - Music.mp3 04 - Music.mp3 05 - Music.mp3 06 - Music.mp3 07 - Music.mp3 08 - Music.mp3 09 - Music.mp3 10 - Music.mp3 11 - Music.mp3 12 - Music.mp3 13 - Music.mp3 14 - Music.mp3 15 - Music.mp3 16 - Music.mp3 17 - Music.mp3 18 - Music.mp3 19 - Music.mp3 20 - Music.mp3 21 - Music.mp3 22 - Music.mp3 23 - Music.mp3 24 - Music.mp3 25 - Music.mp3 26 - Music.mp3 27 - Music.mp3 28 - Music.mp3 29 - Music.mp3 30 - Music.mp3 31 - Music.mp3 32 - Music.mp3 33 - Music.mp3 34 - Music.mp3 35 - Music.mp3 Size: 156.02 MBSession: 1Track: 35 Session 01: Track 01: Mode 1, Length: 059411(116.0 MB), Address: 000000 Track 02: Audio, Length: 000042(84 KB), Address: 059561 Track 03: Audio, Length: 000757(1.5 MB), Address: 059603 Track 04: Audio, Length: 000558(1.1 MB), Address: 060360 Track 05: Audio, Length: 000586(1.1 MB), Address: 060918 Track 06: Audio, Length: 000688(1.3 MB), Address: 061504 Track 07: Audio, Length: 000552(1.1 MB), Address: 062192 Track 08: Audio, Length: 000565(1.1 MB), Address: 062744 Track 09: Audio, Length: 000791(1.5 MB), Address: 063309 Track 10: Audio, Length: 000551(1.1 MB), Address: 064100 Track 11: Audio, Length: 000538(1.1 MB), Address: 064651 Track 12: Audio, Length: 000709(1.4 MB), Address: 065189 Track 13: Audio, Length: 000540(1.1 MB), Address: 065898 Track 14: Audio, Length: 000451(902 KB), Address: 066438 Track 15: Audio, Length: 000633(1.2 MB), Address: 066889 Track 16: Audio, Length: 000430(860 KB), Address: 067522 Track 17: Audio, Length: 000552(1.1 MB), Address: 067952 Track 18: Audio, Length: 000790(1.5 MB), Address: 068504 Track 19: Audio, Length: 000505(1010 KB), Address: 069294 Track 20: Audio, Length: 000464(928 KB), Address: 069799 Track 21: Audio, Length: 000586(1.1 MB), Address: 070263 Track 22: Audio, Length: 000456(912 KB), Address: 070849 Track 23: Audio, Length: 000505(1010 KB), Address: 071305 Track 24: Audio, Length: 000551(1.1 MB), Address: 071810 Track 25: Audio, Length: 000579(1.1 MB), Address: 072361 Track 26: Audio, Length: 000212(424 KB), Address: 072940 Track 27: Audio, Length: 000211(422 KB), Address: 073152 Track 28: Audio, Length: 000071(142 KB), Address: 073363 Track 29: Audio, Length: 000164(328 KB), Address: 073434 Track 30: Audio, Length: 000161(322 KB), Address: 073598 Track 31: Audio, Length: 000088(176 KB), Address: 073759 Track 32: Audio, Length: 000838(1.6 MB), Address: 073847 Track 33: Audio, Length: 000852(1.7 MB), Address: 074685 Track 34: Audio, Length: 000633(1.2 MB), Address: 075537 Track 35: Audio, Length: 001218(2.4 MB), Address: 076170 Any ideas? Gryph
See if you can burn the ISO straight without using the CUE file.
Agozer
I'm pretty sure the CUE file is needed regardless. How else would the program know in what order should the files go to the CD?
Gryph
Back in the day I used to burn raw images with Nero without the CUE.
tornjaw
Hmm, I've solved it a bit. Attempting to burn the Cue using MP3's (via Sega Cue Maker) has been unsucessful. However, after converting them to.wav's I've had no problem with burning the games. However...Certain games have no problem with sound. Others have correct sound in certain areas but other sounds/music are compltely screwed up. I've checked them before converting from MP3 and then after having converted them to WAV. Shibathedog
Ive been wanted to ask this for awhile but i was too lazy and now i actually need to know so i can burn em for a friend! Im trying to burn Dungeon master 2: Skull Keep and Sonic CD for my friend. What should i do? is there a guide? Should i just use ISORipper or whatever to take all the files out of the ISO and then burn the music as CD audio and the data as data? or should i burn the ISO and somehow have it not close the disc and then burn the MP3s as audio CDs, or do i convert them to wav? im totally confused about this BTW i dont need a mod chip or anything right? CD-Rs will work? And some of the real games we have are scratched alot, If i just burn new copies of them using copy CD will that work ok?
Agozer
You need to make a Mixed-Mode CD (Data + CDDA). Most burning programs nowadays covert the MP3s to WAV on the fly, so you don't have to convert them yourself.
