Agozer Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I smell smarter popups and places like Zophar's haven't checked into that. They need moolah after all.

Wizard Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 THEY KNOW MACS EXIST! Holy crap end of the world.
Robert Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I tried two of those sites mentioned in the article, and no popups with IE, strange? The article had a link to another page with a program to modify the hosts file to stop ads. Now that is great, got rid of those pesky google ads, and pages load up a lot faster now. yay!

kaioshade Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Yea, pop-unders are pretty evil. Its sad that it has come to this, but people will always try to find methods to get their spam across. Im sure the mozilla foundation or some coder will make an extension effectively killing these things.

I've found more and more sites and have pop-unders, and it's really killing my web experience.
