Alpha Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 There is now a new Nintendo DS emulator in the works that has even surpassed DSEmu. The coder is FireFly, one of the first to also emulate the GBA. It already has Double GPU cores which the DSEmu only has 1 at the moment. Also known to have which DSEmu doesn't is 3D, touchscreen, high-level ARM7, and ARM9 system coprocessor. However, it is not released yet and will be released soon. What's this all mean? See for yourself below. "It looks like Firefly's gonna be the first with a working emulator, just as it was with GBA. And I think tradition's a good thing. :)" - Two9A (Creator of DSEmu) »» http://www.hyperds.com»» http://dsemu.oopsilon.com
Gryph Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 This is pretty cool, it's nice to see another emulator on the scene. But damn, Firefly is fast.
Agozer Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Two9A should work together with Firefly. At least to the point where they share programming knowledge.
NeoMaster Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Looks like the DS emu ball is starting to roll. Can't wait to get my grubby hands on some free DS gaming.
montpics Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Good info, then we'll see the working emulator released in months to come.
