Can't get Rome Total War to work

The game keep saying that it did not detect DirectX9 setting

But I have install DirectX9. Does this game needs more requirement

than Battle For Middle Earth?

Yep, I use BFME which came with DirectX 9.0c. But it still came out with the error msg Damn.

It's not But normally it should work. i never complaint on the quality

Where does it give this message? Before you start the game or after you get into it?

Before. it say it can't detect the bloody DirectX9 when I have Directx9c

installed. Is it becos my graphic card was only Geforce2 MMX? Just like what Razer suggested? But I can play BFME with no problem
