Hmm...is there no way to set Zone Alarm to let a BT client work? I use BitComet, I don't know how that works with ZoneAlarm since I don't use it.

ZoneAlarm is evil. Nuff' said. There should be an option to tweak the program for god's sake.

think azureus has no probs with it.. not 100% sure though..

but for azureus u need to install java package too.

Shadow's BT client, ABC and BitComet are excellent clients to choose from. I don't know what's the current status of Shareaza's BT component, but last I heard, some servers were still banning it

Slows it down!?! That's an understatment. It brings it to almost a screeching halt. Java was created by the devil. Think I'll revisit Bitcomet.

BitComet is also banned by some servers too, thanks to unevenly sharing the upload bandwidth between the torrents being uploaded. This is the only major gripe I have with BitComet.

I'm using Azureus and Zone Alarm 5, and they get on quite well. I can see Zone Alarm blocking traffic, but the files continue to transfer anyway. Azureus does have this java thingy, has no ill effect on the pc at all. The only problem is that some UK site banned it, so I just use some other place.
