Corn99 Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 *gasp* say it aint so gryph.oh wells ill just continue googling then but its weird it never happened before i reformatted then reinstalled windows.now some of dos programs dont work while some do and some say something about autoexec.nt
Agozer Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 There could be something wrong with your Autoexec.nt file (in %Windir%\SYSTEM32) or you've accidentally deleted it. Search for it.
Robert Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Hmmm You can open a dos window? That means that autoexec.nt and config.nt exist and valid. Those 2 files are in your c:\windows\system32 folder. Check them to make sure you're not loading something you shouldn't be. Paste them here and we can comment.
Corn99 Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 (edited) its suppose to be in the system32 folder cause i searched it and its in the windows\repair folder. copied it over still get the same message for dos dreamcast utilities porgrams/other dos programs as well that worked on xp before i reformatted and some program installers(wildtangent.) Agozer Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't WildTangent categorized as spyware?
