Lucandrake Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 I can't get a movie to work. I have the divx codec and well , the video length says it's 0.00 and when I pres splay it doesnt run a single second. How is that possible? The files 700 mb. Help
Gryph Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 You idiot, you don't have to mention that you downloaded a certain file. People, if you have illegal material, please don't announce it like this dumbass just did. I edited your post. Anyway, what video player are you using? Try getting the Defiler codec pack and Media Player Classic.
Lucandrake Posted March 23, 2005 Author Posted March 23, 2005 (edited) It was an example but w/e, wmplayer. But it sucks arse just like anything, I'll try out defiler and come back to you on this one Edit: Nope, no help whatsoever, and the format of the movie is avi. Edited March 23, 2005 by Drake
Agozer Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 You don't have the necessary codecs, methinks. Download ffdshow alpha from Sourceforge and give it a go.
Lucandrake Posted March 23, 2005 Author Posted March 23, 2005 Bleh, it must be a fake file then , didnt work
Ryuken Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 since it's you drake, did the file even finish downloading?

IxI SoNiK IxI Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 did u try checking the media file with GSpot to find out info on what codecs you need to play? (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) or run it with Windows Media Classic? (http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli)
Smilee Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Have you tried running VLC media player with it? It probably has the codecs you need to run the file.
