Running Warcraft 3

After installing Windows Service Pack 2 patch, I can't run Warcraft 3.

I check on Google but cannot find any patch to override it.

Any help?

Hmm...that is most probably not an SP2 problem since you're the first to have that kind of problem.

I have SP2 and WC3 works perfect for me.

When I check the Service Pack 2 description and the list of games not compatible with it, WC3 was among the list.

I got SP2 and runs just fine. Did you try updating Warcraft 3?

Mine stating that WC3 can't detect DirectX 8.1 and above.

ANd i am using DirectX 9c!

So true. Most warez games need a specific version of the OS and will crap out on you when you don't have it. Not to mention that you won't be able to update the program so that it becomes compliant with SP2.

 

If you really want to play the game, just buy it, or download an exact replica of the game's cd's.

I found a compilation of original WC3 and Frozen Throne 2 in 1 at USD 75. I was afraid that this might not be compatible since this news came out.
