UNC_Heel Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 Does anybody know how to get rid of that annoying message that comes up when you load roms into VirtuaNES? It says something about NES being illegal....
Alpha Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 No clue... They probabally put that there like MAME, to keep telling everyone its illegal.
UNC_Heel Posted February 17, 2003 Author Posted February 17, 2003 Thanks a lot dude! Pretty annoying little quirk. I may just stick to Nester.
MarkT2256 Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 try using RockNES or FCEUltra. I use them and they work fine for the most part
lacien Posted January 19, 2004 Posted January 19, 2004 The only NES emulator I've used was called Nesticle, pretty ghetto but worked great for me.
FirebrandX Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 The VirtuaNES message you are getting has to deal with the iNES header bytes in your NES rom file. Basically, you've got hacked dumps if that message comes up. VirtuaNES wants clean, unedited rom dumps, so you'd need to get an iNES header tool to fix the roms.
Agozer Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 (edited) You should always make sure that the roms are unaltered (this rule applies to all roms and rom images)... You won't believe how many bug reports come to the ZSNES board...only to be verified as "bad checksum = bad rom". Edited January 21, 2004 by Agozer
