Handheld Emulation: how good?

I have never tried any handheld emulators and was just wondering how good they work, wondering about Neo Geo Pocket Color and Gameboy Advance in particular. If its good then what are currently the best emulators for them?

Both are excellent in emulation terms. For Neo-Geo Pocket, I recommend NeoPop and for GBA, VisualBoy Advance. I suggest that you google for kode54's special VBA builds.

What is so special about the special VBA build?

Well, kode added some new sound filtering method's, making the sound more true (or even better) than on the original system. He also fixed quite a few bugs (don't ask me what those were, since I on't have the chagelog anymore) + misc. tweaks.
