Hello, everyone...i am a newbie of emulator, and i am experiencing a problem when I play the DC emulaor Chankast v2.0a.

i have already downloaded the chancast with 2 bios, and it is working well with game Ikira, but when I tried to play other games, it appeared this message "ioControl error"

Can you guys tell me why this happens?

and is there anything i can do to solve this problem?

Correction: You are running Chankast Alpha 0.2a I suggest you switch to 0.25

 

Are you running the game from a burned CD or from a CD image. Have you set the CD-ROM plugin to use the correct drive? Also, if you are running it under XP, make sure that the CD-ROM plugin isn't the ASPI one.

If ur using a burned game or an iso. I suggest u use daemon tools 3.37 I think cause the other ones don't work well with it.

It doesn't really atter which version of DT one uses. I got IO errors once simply because the image was bad.

I was getting IO errors. I am pretty sure I fixed it with updated cd plugin. maybe not though it's been so long, I don't even have chankast installed anymore. the whole layering issue turned me off.
