Diso
Steam has screwed up everything FULLSTOP! And know valve have release VAC2 and it still doesn't stop the hackers!<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Even though Steam is a pretty buggy thing, I kinda liked how they used their product. They made it so you have to have an original CD Key or buy a new one otherwise you can't play the games. And its free. I just dont like how you have to play offline. (though the cd key thing is now worthless since ppl figured out how to hack it )
sAiyAn
The thing was, with steam, when you wanted to play on lan you still required an internet connection to authenticate else you couldn't play...well, good job to the lan hacks
Gryph
You only have to authenticate once. You can play on a LAN offline after that. Of course that only pisses of the guys who don't buy the game and just borrow their friends copy at the LAN party.
sAiyAn
Does anyone here play cs competitively? Like on LAN comps and Online comps?
Wizard
I used to play in CAL-CS 1.5 and 1.6 for a few seasons. I made it all the way to CAL-M before getting cut. I now play 1.6 exclusively on LAN now at competetions.
sAiyAn
Cool. Well the CS over here in Australia is picking up as far as quality is concerened. But we still struggle when it comes to WCG. The clan f-zer0 have made the past few WCG's but they are now challenged by some up-coming teams. I think 23 was the last team that represented Australia @ WCG
