Jjangthekid
Hey guys, I was wondering which program would I use to play an.ogg file? The file basically is rip from a DVD and contains subtitles for English and Japanese. Any help would be appreciated.
Jjangthekid
Nevermind, I have found the answer.. -> BS Player.. [sorry about the double post, forgot to just edit the first post] Edited May 18, 2005 by Jjangthekid
Agozer
If you're talking about movies, then it's not OGG but OGM. BSPlayer doesn't play these unless you install OGGDS first. Google for it.
Weirdy
anything can play ogm files as long as it supports it ogm is a container btw, usually with sound encoded in ogg and video encoded in something else good compression too
Jjangthekid
Ah woops sorry about that. Should have wrote OGG files instead. Well I have got the BS Player to play the.OGG files. Also on an another note, what is dual stream? Do any of you guys know?
Gryph
Dual stream is two streams of audio for stuff like two languages.
Jjangthekid
Oh, what is the difference between a normal DVD drip and a Dual Stream DVD rip? The reason why I'm asking is, a normal DVD drip also contains 2 Languages. Gryph if you can, could you explain a little bit more on that? Thanks. =]
Weirdy
dual = 2 things but it's obviously not an accurate dvd rip if it's less than 1 gig of data but if it's like 200mbs or so, it probably has dual stream which means two types of audio (if it's anime, one stream is probably in english, the other in japanese)
Agozer
Matroska and OGG the the only ones I know that have Dual Audio capabilities. Are there any others. And no, BSPlayer does not support OGMs off the bat.
Sturmvogel
Forget BSplayer. Grab either Videolan (googe it its free), which will play practically anything you have, or Media Player Classic (has nothing to do with WMP).
Agozer
And what's wrong with BSPlayer? Never let me down, and full of excellent features.
