Alpha
My friend Reese from GuiltyParties who is also an affiliate of ours is having a writing contest. The winner gets 1 Year Free Hosting! This is a great value with the stuff he gives, especially on a Xeon Server. Hope you guys submit some good stuff, will look forward to hopefully seeing a winner from 1Emulation. -------------- Write Off 2005 The contest is open to any member, reader, or affiliate of Guilty Parties. Contestants are to submit a short story, no less than 2500 words, on any subject they wish. The only catch is entries must include the idea of Guilty Parties in one way or another. For example, by including the name Guilty Parties somewhere in the story or by using members as characters*. Entries are limited to one submission per person. No collaborations are permitted. Stories will be judged on content, creativity, and grammar. They will be graded on a scale of 1 to 10 by a panel of impartial judges**. All suitable entries will be displayed on Guilty Parties following the conclusion of the contest. Due Date:May 31st, 2005. Winner Gets:1 year (12 months) worth of free hosting (150MB of storage space and 5GB of transfer a month) on one of our top of the line Xeon servers. Domain not included. Submit At:http://www.guiltyparties.com/main.php?id=r_contest.html * The reference to Guilty Parties can be as subtle as, for example, writing a story about working at McDonalds and mentioning its located on Guilty Parties Avenue, or as detailed as utilizing a dozen members as characters in a story that follows recent or past forum events. ** Judges DO NOT have access to author information. They will judge based on unsigned entries in order to preserve impartiality. --------------
Gryph
I got an email about this earlier today. I may take part in it if I can think of something and write it.
Agozer
I might give it ago, since I can often make up "far out" stories on the fly.
