jstart Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 With the source code available and evrything is anyone working on a mac compatible version of ds emu or any other ds emulator?
Agozer Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Keep in mind that the whole source code is based on systems that run on x86 architecture. Macs don't use this. The source would almost need to be rewritten from scratch to ever run on a Mac.
ken_cinder Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Theres gotta be software like Virtual PC available for Mac.Why don't you give it a try on a virtual machine running a copy of Windows? If you don't own a copy of Windows (And I guess it's safe to assume you don't, but ya never know).....well, I don't think I need to tell you how to get one. <_>
Robert Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 If you think your virtual windows can handle OpenGL or GDI graphics, compile it and see what happens!
jstart Posted May 23, 2005 Author Posted May 23, 2005 Already tried running on Virtual pc it won't even open it crashes virtual pc. Don't know why...
Agozer Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Already tried running on Virtual pc it won't even open it crashes virtual pc. Don't know why...Victual PC is still an emulator of sorts, and while being commercial, it might (and most likely does) have incompatibilities.
ken_cinder Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Well if the Mac version of Virtual PC uses the same "emulated" hardware that the Windows version does, it's probably crashing because the emulated video card is one that can't handle 3d, doesn't do OpenGL and probably GDI either.I know there are other software like Virtual PC, but I don't know about for Mac.....or if they emulate better hardware.
