Can I play these Neogeo games in mame32 Plus!

In some Neogeo games if you change

Dip switches --> Machine mode from Arcade into home

Some games like [Metal slug4, Rage of the Dragons, Matrimelee]

will give you a this message:

Can I play these games in home version in mame32 Plus! ?

 

If not.

I want to disable the time in Matrimelee. I want to record the music of

the fighting only!

 

(I want it in mame because in mame you

can--> Play and record wave output).

If you really want to record the music without any problems, get the Universe BIOS by Razoola. It has a built-in jukebox. Just start the song you want and at the same time start dumping the WAV.

If you want console mode easily, delete the nvram for the games in the nvram folder, and use the universe bios to set it to AES.

There is also a cheat to disable the timer in the UniBios cheat database. Press Start+Coin to access it.

Ah yes. True, the Universe BIOS let's you have inifinte time, but it can make some games unplayable (Matrimelee especially). It's also true that it's possible to go around some of the protection with the Universe BIOS, but I've always like to find roms that haven't got a protection in the first place. A personal preference.

Well, you could try pasting what James posted into your Cheat.dat, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Just remember that the setname infront must match yours.

 

...uless your Cheat.dat already has entries for Matrimelee.
