I have the Neo-Geo CD version, and I haven't played the other ports... but I'd say that the PSX version is also worth a look.

What do you mean 'what is this'? A port from the Neo-Geo CD. As of why GameFAQs doesn't recognize it, I have no clue.

'Were' would be the right word to use here since the project hasn't been going anywhere.

And the fact that japanese generally takes less space than english, so imagine what kind of difficulties they would face when they see that the translation doesn't fit the box it should be in. Unlike with SNES roms, expanding Neo-Geo's romsizes might not be worth the trouble and might lead to a dead-end.
