God of War.

 

Gamespot gives it a 9.3.. all GameFAQs reviews are 9s and 10s... and it looks fantastic in that GTTV video review.

 

But its not out in Europe yet. So, since I trust all your opinions, has anyone played it and could anyone confirm the great things I'm hearing? Honestly I want an excuse to buy this even though I'm really cheap at the moment.

I played it for a couple of hours at a friend's house, and thought it was great. Granted, I don't get to play many ps2 games, but the game controls well, the music fits the whole game perfectly, and there is carnage a plenty, which always scores well with me. And the sex and boobs that Agozer mentioned too.

It was a surprise move from Sony since they never sell sex on their game console. This is a first.

 

Let me give you a very honest review of sort:

 

Graphics : Really great!

This game really push PS2 to the limit.

Control : Control is a la DMC3. Responsive.

Sound : Normal. Nothing much to say here.

Gameplay : Play like DMC, feel like DMC (only the setting is

old Greek). The problem here is that not much

strategy here. ALL monsters can be killed by

one combo of your choice. ONE! There are some

variety but nothing new here. I play this game for

one day, and decided not to finish the game.

 

Verdict : I am 28 yrs old. I feel like this is a game for

kids or teens who can't get enough sex and

violence. Me, I woujld just load back DMC or some

other games instead. I dun bother with this game.

You might want to rent this game first though as

this is just my opinion

I heard the game style is just ordinary enhanced "hack n slash". Still I wouldn't compare this to DMC series even though they do share similarities. DMC is a little complex I pressume, the system and the way it set up with physics is a whole new level than GoW.

i played it , it was pretty good , but it was kinda no challange and somewhat short.......but hey theres the threesome! which makes it all worthwhile.............

i enjoyed it thouroghly. great graphics nice sound and tight controls. not in the same level as DMC so no fair to use as a comparison. and the boobs are just a bonus if u have never seen tits before.
