James Bunt
I downloaded.wma movie and before I can play it a prompt appears from Microsoft asking me to update my DRM components before I am able to play the movie. I've read a bit about DRM (digital rights management) but what actually happens if I were to update the darn thing? Im still a bit iffy cuz it seems like a corporate scam to crack down on piraters and such.
Gryph
Just use a different media player like Media Player Classic (not affiliated with Microsoft).

James Bunt
I tried the DivX player that was bundled with DivX5.0.3 but it doesn't seem to recognize the wma format.
Wizard
WMA is Windows Media Audio guys. DRM is a license authentication process. And uh, theres a handful of google stuff you can find to deautherize it.
James Bunt
Whoops, I meant WMV, oh well, so close but whatever. And I've given up already, if it takes more than posting a topic in a forum it ain't worth it.
