Samurai Edge
My computer was sent to be repaired, and they did a reset. All my files are lost, which includes roms, roms saves, images, video, music and tons of things. This is the first time I ever reset so EVERYTHING is gone, I feel so sad. So, share your reformat experiences with me.
Alpha
Did they ask you before they reformatted your hard drive!?!
BlackKnight
Oath they should ask... I'm sure there's got to be some regulation about that. They only time I lost everything was back in 2000 and I didn't have a CD burner, so never backed up stuff. Hard drive gave up.. I was extremely depressed. Took me some months to get a new one simply because everything was gone and I couldn't be bothered with the computer for ages. Sorry to hear about it. L.S.D
I always do backup. Especially on those hard to find roms

Samurai Edge
Did they ask you before they reformatted your hard drive!?!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>They said it might be hardware problems or viruses, so they suggested to reformat, and I answered YES

Agozer
Man, that sucks dude. At the moment, I'm without a DVD-ROM drive, because it was sent to the manufacturer (it was faulty). Furthermore, when I get a new one, the nice folks at the computer store are going to add more fans and check the ventilation because my computer overheats quite a bit. So, no CDs/DVDs for me for over two weeks.
