Dan_RSL Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 I'm running a NeoRAGEX on XP, I have the XP version, butwhen I open it I get a black screen. I can get out by pressing escape, so I think it's working, but something is wrong. Any help?
Gryph Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Exactly what version are you trying to run? There are several NeoRageXs that work in XP. Try this: http://www.1emulation.com/odown/details.php?file=167
Dan_RSL Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 (edited) I'm running NeoRage xp v0.8 Also, that link doesnt seem to have anything in it that I can click on to download edit: I found it, let me see if it works edit 2: same deal, black screen. The screen stays, too, it doesnt close the program, like there is just something wrong with the visuals or something Edited July 12, 2005 by Dan_RSL
Gryph Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 EDIT: Hmm...you'll have to wait till Agozer comes online. I haven't used NeoRage in a year or so. Try updating your DirectX and your graphics drivers.
Agozer Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Check my site and see if the XP version of NeoRAGEx works for you.
Dan_RSL Posted July 13, 2005 Author Posted July 13, 2005 Thats actually where I downloaded it from, which all do I need from your list, though?
Agozer Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Just a thought: Could it be that your monitor/video card doesn't support 640x480x16 resolution?
Gryph Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Just a thought: Could it be that your monitor/video card doesn't support 640x480x16 resolution?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>That would be extremely odd.
Agozer Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Just a thought: Could it be that your monitor/video card doesn't support 640x480x16 resolution? That would be extremely odd.Yes, yes it would, but I'm willing to put all the possible cards to the table, starting with that.
Dan_RSL Posted July 13, 2005 Author Posted July 13, 2005 (edited) I tried the EGCG version and had the same thing happen, which is why I think its some sort of video or recogniton thing. How would I check the resolution, though? I'm thinking it might be set differently or something, so that it just doesnt read it correctly edit: ok, now my resolution is 1280 x 1024 x 16, any problems there? Edited July 13, 2005 by Dan_RSL
