Gryph
This is certainly not a good thing. Umm...Have you tried doing that in safe mode?

Bo0
Well I did some searching and this is what I came accross after about 20 minutes. 1.I have encountered this problem before also and i have handled it by changing the memory model from huge to large memory model and then i was able to execute my program. 2.Have you tried a repair install of windows? 3. O and of course, my favorite, microsofts reponse to the errorRetry the operation. If you still get this message, try to continue. If you are able to continue, you might want to check the results of the running application. Otherwise, terminate the application, then restart it. If you still get this message, contact your technical support group or the supplier of the running application. O and gryph, I came accross another forums with a report. Someone replied by telling him to move some files around to make the program work better, and no more replys after that. It was a different program though same error. Edit: Didn't know my sister's account was still loged on.... Edited July 16, 2005 by Bo0
Robert
The answer is in the first post. C:\WINDOWS\System32\regedit.com Delete that file. Then try opening regedit.
Weirdy
The answer is in the first post. C:\WINDOWS\System32\regedit.com Delete that file. Then try opening regedit.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I don't have that file either, mine is "regedt32.exe" o.o
Robert
regedit.exe is the real one, regedt32.exe is the one with security applied. By someone adding a regedit.com, the system will try to run it instead of regedit.exe If Bo0 had typed in regedit.exe instead of regedit it would have worked. Samurai Edge
My computer can't open it either when sasser striked, try some anti-virus scans if deleting regedit.com doesn't work.
