Idk how I ended up getting this, but I just updated to SP2 (dont ask why it took so long). Well when I boot up the computer, it freezes instantly while its booting, and I cant start it up unless im in safe mode. When it doesnt freeze, it reboots instantly out of no where. If you guys have had this before and have fixed it. Please tell me how to. (Dont say uninstall and reinstall because I did it 3 times already :P)

The automatic booting in Windows XP is because Windows gets BSOD'd. How to fix it is an extremely difficult question.

o.0? I uninstalled it :'(. From agozer giving that response, I guess my computer is incompatible with sp2 -_-.

No, the odds of your computer being incompatible with SP2 is odd. Did you uninstall SP2 or Windows?

Try reinstalling Windows.

Man this sucks, and gryph I uninstalled SP2. My computer never came with windows cd :P

How is that possible? Even the most basic pre-built computers (my old system being a prime example) came with a Windows OEM disc.

i fixed it by reformattng, installing win98se, update to windows xp sp1 then sp2 cd.. im glad it jst went ok!

That might be the problem, my computer is updateing from normal xp not sp1. O and agozer, it came with a "recovery disk" which I broke due to frustration.
