ok i got family guy :) , its an.xvid file and it needs the special codec's which i have , i cant figure out how to install them pls help asap

Google for ffdshow and install it. (preferably a 2005 build, but 2004 alpha will help you too).

thanks agozer , im just figuring how to work it now :)

There is no figuring out how to work it really, unless you want some fancy post-processing or other tweaks to video/audio.

i think i might have a flocked version , it doesnt seem to work.. should i be able to just open up divx and it should work ?

im partly lost... it sounds simple yet im struggling :) sorry agozer i must be fustrating you anyway here is what i get , in divx

Well, it could help if you'd ditch the DivX Player and get a good player, such as BSPlayer, VLC or Media Player Alternative. :)

ok word taken , i never liked divx , i would usually use windows media or real player :) in other words divx is ditched :roll2: thx agozer

aww man, I wish I would've read this earlier

 

if I did I would've beat agozer to the punch by saying "just find ffdshow" and that'd be it

 

but no, so meh

 

next time just read this thread

 

IMO, you don't need the actual divx and xvid codecs unless you're an encoder yourself

i got it to work , i found out the file hadn't finished it had 0.1% to go... god do i feel stupid :thumbsup1: woot family guy movie
