The real anchorman signs off for good

Just heard the news on my local news station. He lost his battle with lung cancer. He was the best evening newsman in my opinion....

Yeah..he did have a nice soothing voice. In my early years I liked Rather but I eventually realized what a stiff automoton he was and started watching Jennings.

I never heard of him until now. They said he died of lung cancer. Was he a smoker?

yeah, he was a heavy smoker for like 20+ years, he stopped for awhile and continued smoking again during 9/11

well there you go. its his fault but in the end you cant do anything about smoking (i dont smoke and i hope none of you do) from what i hear after you have been a long time smoker it is one of the hardest things to give up on. i havnt heard of this guy until now but R.I.P Peter Jenning's.
