I got a pc iso from kazza.

When the download finnished, all i had was an.exe. box wanting to be cliked, it did not do any thing,

DOS came up and said the programe is to big..

So i figure it must need burning..

I used nero to make a bootabile data cd...

Nero said it wanted a bootabile formot with the floppy drive so i made one, it took the information and bang it burned it and i all fits snug on one

700meg disk...

However when i insert it into a drive to boot, it brings up the dos.EXE.

Again,

can someone help me as to waht to do..

It took me a long time to get this iso the least i could do is try to play it...

Please anyone :)

tell me more dude what is demon tools?

will that verify if i have a real game or a screwed up iso?

Daemon Tools is a program that allows you to play an iso from your hard drive. basically, it makes your pc beleive that the iso, or any cd image, is a cd in an "imaginary" cd drive. so, instead of burning the iso to a cd, you could just use Daemon Tools, and save yourself a cd-r. :)

have you tried to change the exe file into a bin or a iso file?

Posted

You appear to have dled a full copy of splinter cell with a text file containing the serial as well if the.exe does not work try renaming to.zip.rar.ace if they dont work then id be 99% certain that the file is screwed.

You could always use a program called cd mage which can often repair corrupt images (all formats.bin.iso etc).

id say, trash the file, and download splinter cell from me on the emulforums dc hub. :jawb: its big though. three cds totaling, roughly, 1.5gbs.

wait wait wait! Don't trash it yet. I downloaded windows XP (I mean bought it! *cough*) and it wouldn't open or work in daemon tools. It DID open with winrar though. So if you haven't tried it already, get winrar and cross your fingers :jawb:
