Problems with games

Im new to all of this so excuse me, if people have been all over it before

 

I looked at this post http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7228 [Chankast Alpha Emulator Compatibilty]

and with Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 it says- Does NOT Work, ioControl error box | Works with CapcomHack, NewGFX?, some minor graphical problems... yet i cant seem to get the dam thing to load (other games i have work/load fine) but when i try to run this is just go to the dreamcast start screen, and when i play it tells me to insert game disk any ideas?

 

Also when i run Chu Chu Rocket i just get the ioControl Error (what exactly is that??)

The Chankast Compatibility list on this site is severely outdated, and based on ChankastAlpha 0.1 and 0.2a. The more recent one is over at EmuTalk.

 

Do you mount your images with Daemon Tools and are they all selfboot?

ioControl error Sefers to Input/Output error. This happens often with images that are corrupt or not supported properly by Chankast.

yer i use daemon tools... hummm selfboot i dont know what that means its a cdi image if that helps!!... could i have the link to emutalk i dont know much about the emu scene

A selfboot image is a game that has a modified bootcode so that it can be run without a bootdisc. Most Dreamcast CDI images are selfboot.
