But Mr Satchell admitted no system was fool-proof and that, with enough time and dedication, the security on the Xbox 360 would be broken.

 

"There're some really bright people in the world with some really expensive hardware," he said.

 

"I'm sure sooner or later someone will work out how to circumvent security. But the way we have done the design doesn't mean that it will work on somebody else's machine."

So how long do you think it will take till the 360 is hacked?

Probably before it's released. Wasn't there already an emulator for the GBA before it's release date?

PPC arch, hardware level security features......BUT standard medium.

I give it 3-5 months for some minimal "soft-mod" and 6-8 months for a 1st gen hardware cheap-mod.

i say pre release soft mod of some type, will be chipped by march of next yr. if not before then.

Why would anyone buy it if it was hack-proof ?

 

The only reason I ever buy anything computer related is because it can be modded. Otherwise it's just an appliance.
