Cbass182
I was just wondering if you could have direct communication from ds to ds with this? or will you have to have a internet connection of some sort present so you would be going from ds to pc to ds? Mr Snowflake
Yes, DS-DS wifi will be working. -Stephen<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Will this be through tcp/ip or through NiFi? Not that it does really matter (I guess).
Thoop
I think both
El_Hobito
I think both<{POST_SNAPBACK}>obviously not through nifi since its a proprietry protocol the ds will communicate through tcp ip
sgstair
it will be able to do either; in the case of nifi you will have to write your own 802.11 handler to receive data, and there is an interface to send raw packets. This will be out of the question for most people but for those of us who are familiar with nifi, it should prove very useful. -Stephen
Mr Snowflake
Does NiFi have any advantages over TCP/IP? Oter than less overhead?
El_Hobito
Does NiFi have any advantages over TCP/IP? Oter than less overhead?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>i would expect nifi is for ease of use and security more than anything else. I

sgstair
Nifi is more of a lite version of 802.11, It doesn't use LLC with a frame type to emulate ethernet like standard 802.11 -Stephen
