if you have a router and hub, can you set one of the inputs on the hub to be a node which is also connected to the router to connect more computers to the internet with the router?

 

for example

If you mean hooking the router up to the hub via the uplink port, it should work.....in theory. It's just like hooking up your cable/dsl modem in that way, and having multiple machines be assigned unique IP adresses.

 

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that it should work.

Would the linksys be connected via USB ?

I used to have a alot of issues with USB ethernet hubs.

yeah, that's what I meant. Ok, just wondering just incase it ever came to the point where all the input slots on the router would be full

not connected thru usb, i recently reflashed it with the latest and disabled the wrieless, seems to work better with the windows media streams now.
